From roots to the stage

A language that connects

Eva García Amieva was born in Oviedo and grew up between Asturias and Cantabria, surrounded by music that has remained alive for generations. From a very young age, music became the centre of her life.

With over twenty-two years of teaching experience and more than a thousand concerts, she has built a career deeply rooted in tradition, yet always open to new forms of expression.

Professionally trained in lyric singing, Eva understands folklore as a living language: a cultural heritage capable of engaging with the present without losing its essence.

Today she is President of the Asociación Cultural Amieva, dedicated to the promotion and preservation of traditional music. In 2025 she was named Pregonera of Asturias Day. She has performed as a Cultural Ambassador in Marruecos and Latin America, at the Expo Musical de Nuestra América Online Radio. Her music has crossed borders without ever losing the accent of the north.

The Sound

Eva Amieva reinterprets the folklore of northern Spain from a contemporary perspective, blending tradition, lyric music and modern sounds.

Her approach also incorporates unique elements, such as kitchen instruments turned into percussion and symbol, transforming everyday tradition into an artistic experience of her own.

The result is music that is warm, emotional and able to connect with widely diverse audiences.

On Stage

Eva's show is based on her album Jardín de Colores. One hour accompanied by a violinist, a bagpiper, two traditional dancers and two urban and contemporary dancers. Tradition and the present dancing together on the same stage.

The repertoire blends original songs and popular ones. When the venue allows it, each song has its music video projected live, turning the concert into a complete audiovisual experience.

Únete al latido

Únete al latido is her most recent song. It was born as a tribute to Costa Quebrada, recently declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The work journeys through the most iconic landscapes of the Geoparque — La Arnía, Los Locos, Lago Pozo Tremeo — and pays tribute to the eight municipalities that make it up, uniting sea and inland in a single heartbeat.
